Gross and Company is conducting multiple Metro-Detroit area Personal Injury Law Firm client searches for experienced Personal Injury Paralegals
. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in personal injury law and possess strong organizational and client service skills. This role involves managing all aspects of case preparation and support for attorneys from initial client contact through resolution.
- Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Manage and organize case files, including maintaining a detailed and accurate case management system.
- Conduct client interviews and gather essential case information, medical records, and supporting documents.
- Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel on case-related matters.
- Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial notebooks.
- Assist attorneys with drafting demand letters and negotiating settlements.
- Review and summarize medical records, police reports, and other case-related documents.
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines, filing requirements, and statutes of limitations.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and answer questions.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree or certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm.
- Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and dicta phone transcriptions.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, litigation processes, and court filing procedures.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
