Overview
A respected full-service Michigan law firm with a highly regarded Labor & Employment practice is seeking an Associate to join its growing team. This group is recognized across the Midwest for its employer-side counseling and litigation work and offers strong mentorship, immediate hands-on experience, a clear path for long-term growth & partnership, and competitive compensation. The position can sit in any of the firm's Michigan offices.
The role includes advising employers on day-to-day workplace issues, drafting policies and agreements, counseling clients on compliance, supporting internal investigations, litigating in state and federal courts, and exposure to traditional labor matters such as collective bargaining and union-related strategy.
Responsibilities- Advise employers on day-to-day workplace issues
- Draft policies and agreements

- Support internal investigations
- Litigate in state and federal courts
- Exposure to traditional labor matters such as collective bargaining and union-related strategy
- Candidates should have at least years of L&E experience, strong writing and analytical skills, and a client-service mindset
- Experience with wage/hour issues, accommodations, investigations, or employment litigation is helpful
- Industry experience in manufacturing, education, healthcare, financial services, or other regulated sectors is a plus
- Traditional labor experience is welcome but not required
