Senior Project Manager

Optomi, in partnership with a leading enterprise data governance initiative, is looking for a Senior Project Manager, Data Governance Execution. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional execution of a new enterprise data governance framework and standards of care, tracking policy adherence deliverables, prioritizing risk management, and driving timely delivery. The ideal candidates combine strong program/project management expertise with practical, hands-on data governance experience, particularly in metadata, data lineage, and data quality.

• Leading cross-functional teams in a strategic initiative.
• Engaging with multiple business functions to drive data governance.
• Developing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks.

• 8+ years of project/program management experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Experience with risk management practices and policy adherence monitoring.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Proficiency with PM tools and collaboration platforms like Jira/Confluence and Smartsheet/MS Project.

• Lead wave execution across business lines, coordinating plans, timelines, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
• Facilitate structured communication and collaboration across stakeholder groups.
• Drive adoption of data governance framework components.
• Produce weekly status reporting and track progress vs. plan.
• Manage risks, issues, and decisions by maintaining logs and performing root cause analysis.
• Support Data Governance Policy/Standard Adherence Monitoring.
• Coordinate post-execution QC testing and sampling routines.
• Align execution with enterprise data governance program routines and contribute to continuous improvement.
