Job Description

Key Responsibilities Product & Platform Operations
  • Own end‑to‑end operations of data and insights applications and platforms supporting Avionics and Power (e.g., dashboards, data services, analytics models, and APIs).
  • Manage environments (dev, test, stage, prod) and deployments for analytics workloads, ensuring consistency, reliability, and controlled change management.
  • Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and reliability (SLOs/SLAs) of applications, including proactive capacity planning and tuning.
  • Establish and maintain runbooks, standard work, and operation procedures for core applications and services.
  • Lead incident response and problem management, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
Data & Analytics Enablement

  • Ensure data operations quality including data refresh reliability, job orchestration, error handling, and data validation checks.
  • Support analytics and BI tools (for example: data visualization platforms, semantic layers, curated data sets) used by Avionics and Power engineering, program, and operations teams.
  • Contribute to solution design with an operations lens, ensuring new data and analytics products are supportable, secure, and scalable from day one.
Reliability, Automation, and Continuous Improvement
  • Implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts) to achieve high service reliability and fast issue detection.
  • Automate operational tasks (deployments, configuration, testing, backups, and recovery) using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code where applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement in application operations, using metrics and retrospectives to improve stability, quality, and cycle time.
  • Promote standard tools and patterns across Defense and Systems DT for operating data and analytics products (monitoring, deployment, access management, documentation, and support models).
Security, Compliance, and Governance
  • Ensure compliance with GE Aerospace and Defense requirements related to cybersecurity, data protection, export control, and regulatory obligations.
  • Implement and maintain access control, authentication, and authorization for data and analytics applications, following least‑privilege principles.
  • Participate in audits and reviews, providing evidence of proper controls, logging, and operational practices.
  • Support data governance practices, including data classification, retention, and usage policies for defense data assets.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
  • Act as a primary operational point of contact for Avionics and Power business stakeholders for data and analytics products.
  • Collaborate with product managers and solution owners to prioritize enhancements, manage technical debt, and plan operational readiness for new releases.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and operations team members.
