About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Product Program Manager to lead low-level software and hardware projects, driving complex technical initiatives from concept through execution. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong technical foundation in embedded systems, firmware, and hardware-software integration, who is comfortable managing cross-functional teams and ensuring project delivery on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of low-level embedded and firmware projects, ensuring alignment with product and business goals.
- Develop and manage project schedules, resources, budgets, and risk assessments for complex technical initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, hardware, and firmware teams to translate product requirements into detailed project plans.
- Track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and quality standards.
- Serve as a technical liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders, providing clear updates and documentation.
- Drive process improvements, including best practices for firmware development, low-level software design, and integration testing.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and regulatory requirements as applicable.
- Mentor and guide team members on project management practices, technical execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience in embedded systems, low-level software, or hardware-software integration.
- Strong technical understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, firmware, device drivers, or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in an Agile or hybrid project environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, etc.) and version control systems (Git, SVN).
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience with automotive, IoT, industrial, or consumer electronics products.
- Understanding of hardware interfaces (SPI, I²C, UART, GPIO) and low-level protocol stacks.
- Experience in risk management, resource planning, and vendor coordination for embedded projects.
