Desktop Support/Field Service Technician/Computer Driving Technician - Location:
Detroit, MI (we hire for many locations in the US) - Type of Job:
Long term Contract / Contract to permanent
Job Role/Duties:
- Travel to various customer locations from the pickup parts location.
- Visit business offices and residences to repair, troubleshoot, and break‑fix computers, desktops, laptops, and printers.
- Use own car for job travel.
- Work primarily for Dell products—previous experience is a plus.
- Travel within a 50–70 mile radius from the pickup parts location.
- Maintain professionalism in communication and appearance.
- Be prepared for overtime work and extensive driving (up to 300 miles per week).
Required Skills:
- A+ Certification mandatory (training/expired status accepted).
- Dell or other product manufacturer certification is a plus.
- Experience working on laptops and desktops mandatory.
- Break/fix experience required.
Important Points:
- Background check and driving record review required upon job offer.
- Take Dell certification training (online) and complete certifications—free of charge.
- Contract agreement terms and conditions apply.
- Pay will be paid biweekly for approved hours.
- Mileage reimbursed; contact me for details.
- Ensure backup vehicle in case of breakdown.
