CDW is seeking a technical Project Manager with a strong background in IT support, networking, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering who has transitioned into leading technology projects and rollout initiatives
. This role will coordinate a large‑scale software upgrade and related infrastructure readiness efforts across multiple enterprise campuses.
This position is ideal for someone who “grew up technical” and can bridge hands‑on understanding of devices, networks, and systems with structured project management, stakeholder coordination, and on‑site execution.
What You’ll Lead- Serve as the onsite project lead coordinating all upgrade‑related activities.
- Oversee and track endpoint upgrade and deployment workflows.
- Plan, manage, and document Technical Dress Rehearsal activities.
- Coordinate network readiness tasks, including port activation, cabling vendor scheduling, and infrastructure prep.
- Maintain project schedules, deliverables, issue logs, and risk registers.
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineers, systems teams, field techs, and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT standards and security protocols.
- Support third‑party infrastructure PMs and technical teams for onsite activities.
- Hands‑on technical background — experience in IT Support, Desktop/Endpoint Support, Networking, Systems, Infrastructure
, or related disciplines. - Proven experience leading or coordinating IT projects
, rollout activities, or upgrade initiatives. - Strong understanding of enterprise endpoint environments and network basics (switching, cabling, connectivity, device readiness).
- Ability to manage multiple work streams, drive tasks to completion, and stay organized under tight deadlines.
- Prior work on multi‑site deployments
, tech refreshes, or upgrade projects. - Exposure to facilities, cabling coordination, or infrastructure buildouts.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
This position plays a key role in ensuring enterprise‑wide infrastructure upgrades are executed smoothly, on time, and without operational disruption. You’ll be the go‑to onsite coordinator making sure every technical detail—from port activation to endpoint readiness—lands flawlessly.
