* Job Summary:
** The System Analyst – EHR role will provide IT technical support and ongoing maintenance for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) or other clinical IT systems. This position will participate in on call rotation for application issues, guides/mentors analysts in developing solutions to meet customer needs, and coordinates with other IT groups on customer infrastructure and hardware requirements as it applies to the EHR system deployment.#

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*** Provide superior level of support for EHR platforms including configuration, development, technical testing, troubleshooting, implementing, upgrades, and integrations.
* Responsible for planning, analyzing, designing, testing, creating modifications and maintaining EHR software applications.
* Provide advanced level of guidance and problem solving solutions in response to user inquiries and questions regarding system functionality operations, input/output, reporting and general operational procedures.
* Responsible for maintenance of athena
One Dictionaries (Collector and Clinical) and other EHR applications.
* Resolve technical issues in the EHR application, or IT systems, in coordination with other technical teams within IT and the Athena vendor.
* Resolve and work on technical issues in the Interface Queue Manager which involves research, system testing, issue analysis, and implementing sound business solutions.
* Analyze and resolve issues encountered by the end-users during an implementation/new release and coordinate remediation with vendor, management, or other staff.
* Perform analysis of workflow system setup, and system audits including participating in system upgrades and testing.
* Build new features or functionality in current production environments.
* Assist others and provide guidance to analyst in solving complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions.
* Provide after-hours “on-call” support to troubleshoot and resolve system problems escalated by the service desk.
** Education,
Licensure/Certification , and Training:
*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
* 4+ years of IT Support experience required
* 2 - 3 years of Athena application experience preferred
*
* Skills and Abilities:
*** Knowledge of ambulatory clinical workflow processes
* Understanding of revenue cycle processes
* Analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues
* Experience with HL7 and/or API integrations related to Revenue Cycle Operations and Clinical Operations
* Have strong verbal and written Skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
** Safety Requirements:
*** Compliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures
** Working Conditions/
Schedule:
*** 40-hour work week, hours and days to be determined by the business needs of the department. Additional hours may be required
