The Opportunity
Confidential Search – Automotive / eMobility / Motor Vehicle Manufacturing
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a publicly traded, high-tech, high-growth automotive manufacturing organization that has recently secured significant new investment and is entering a phase of accelerated expansion and increasing organizational complexity.
Over the next 12–18 months
, the business will scale manufacturing and engineering operations, advance next-generation vehicle and mobility technologies, and support multiple strategic and commercial growth initiatives. As a result, the company is seeking a Human Resources Manager to play a key role in supporting organizational growth, workforce scalability, and employee experience across corporate and technical teams.

Role OverviewThe Human Resources Manager will serve as a key partner to leadership, supporting corporate and engineering populations based at the company’s headquarters and technical center. The role will balance hands-on HR operations with strategic HR partnership
, ensuring scalable processes, strong employee experience, and compliance with employment regulations.
This role will be highly visible, requiring strong stakeholder engagement across leadership, technical teams, and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities- Support and execute full employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding
- Partner with leadership to support headcount growth, workforce planning, and talent acquisition initiatives
- Manage and optimize HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred or similar enterprise HRIS systems)
- Support compensation and benefits administration, benchmarking, and program enhancements
- Ensure employment policies, procedures, and contracts are compliant, scalable, and aligned to best practices
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, culture programs, and retention strategies
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to business leaders and provide guidance on employee relations matters
- Support corporate and engineering teams located at headquarters and technical center locations
- Partner with Finance and leadership on workforce cost planning and reporting
- Support internal communications, organizational change initiatives, and leadership development programs
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Partner with external vendors, including benefits providers, recruiting partners, and HR service providers as needed
The ideal candidate will bring strong operational HR expertise combined with experience supporting technical and manufacturing populations in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Requirements:
- Experience as a Senior HR Manager, HR Manager, or HR Business Partner in a growth-oriented environment
- Hands-on experience with Paylocity or comparable enterprise HRIS platforms
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits programs
- Strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle
- Experience developing and managing employment policies, procedures, and contracts
- Strong background in employee engagement and employee relations
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to interface directly with senior leadership and executive teams
- Experience working within automotive, eMobility, advanced manufacturing, or engineering-driven organizations strongly preferred
- Experience supporting workforce growth, recruitment coordination, and onboarding scale initiatives
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (HR certification preferred but not required)
Location: Metro Detroit, Michigan (Hybrid Remote – 3 days p/w)
Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
