Responsibilities- Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms; set up cleaning cart with supplies, maintaining carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly manner.
- Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways, using ladders or stools as needed.
- Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets, stall walls, exposed pipes, mirrors, sinks, and walls to ensure sanitary restrooms.
- Replace towels, soaps, room amenities; restock literature removed or damaged by previous guests.
- Wash all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile) by hand to remove dirt.
- Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures, wall hangings, vents, and ceiling corners.
- Strip bed of linen; remake with fresh linens; replace soiled items; lift mattresses to check for soil.
- Check closet for cleanliness; wipe door, handle, shelves; restock supplies.
- Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25 lb.; move heavy furniture to vacuum entire area.
- Inspect door and window locks; alert management to unsecured or unsafe situations.
- Inspect room equipment (TV, lights, faucets, radios); report deficiencies to Executive Housekeeper.
- Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge / Skills- Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, cleaning products, and standard cleaning equipment.
- Understand and follow verbal or written instructions; communicate verbally and in writing.
- Lift up to 50 lb continually during a shift.
- Push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture during a shift.
- Work with arms raised above the head throughout a shift.
- Maneuver fully loaded maid cart (up to 50 lb.) through hallways and into/out of closets all day.
- Identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas; read written instructions and computer print-outs.
- Prolonged strenuous physical activity in an indoor, climate-controlled environment.
- Excessive heat and humidity in laundry area during 95 % of shift.
