  • This position pays between $101,600 - $137,100 based on experience

Responsibilities

A Patient Access Director II is responsible for administering and reviewing the performance of patient access functions within Ensemble Health Partners. Additionally, they are responsible for identifying and implementing strategies to improve processes, promoting operational efficiency, enhancing the patient experience and meeting regulatory compliance guidelines. Travel to other facilities within a given market(s) may be required.

  • Provide vision, leadership and operational oversight for on-site Patient Access staff within a specific hospital or market. Provide direction to all admitting and registration teams across all entry points. Establish positive, collaborative relationships with operational leaders at these sites or markets.
  • Organize functions through establishing clear accountabilities, delegation of duties and appropriate departmentalization; develop and maintain an effective, visible and well-respected team by selecting, evaluating, coaching and managing the performance of qualified professionals. Promote cross-training and staff collaboration where needed.
  • Promote a culture of two-way communication and staff engagement; determine appropriate staffing levels, monitor compensation and strengthen recruiting and retention processes.
  • Direct hiring and training for leadership and patient access staff.
  • Manage the budget.
  • May be required to perform other job-related duties as requested.
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • 5+ years of Patient Access experience preferred
  • Experience in healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environment required
  • Financial and project management experience
  • Experience setting strategies aimed at increasing associate engagement
  • Flexible and able to be available/work outside of regular business hours when needed
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills required
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • May be required to perform other job-related duties as requested
Certifications
  • CRCR certification required within first 9 months of hire
  • CHAM preferred
