Job Overview

The Electroneuro diagnostic (END) faculty member will educate and mentor students preparing for careers in neurodiagnostic technology, with a focus on Electroencephalogram (EEG) and related diagnostic procedures. This role involves delivering high-quality classroom, lab, and clinical instruction; evaluating student performance; and supporting learners throughout their academic and clinical progression. The faculty member will collaborate with clinical partners, maintain alignment with accreditation and industry standards, and contribute to curriculum development and program growth.

This position is ideal for a passionate clinician-educator who is committed to student success, workforce readiness, and advancing the neurodiagnostic profession.

Essential Functions
  • Teach END courses using a variety of instructional methods, including lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction
  • Supervise and evaluate students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings, providing timely feedback and academic support
  • Develop, revise, and maintain course materials, assessments, and competencies aligned with program, accreditation, and industry standards
  • Coordinate with clinical partners to support student placements, clinical competencies, and professional readiness
  • Assess student learning outcomes and participate in program evaluation and continuous quality improvement
  • Maintain current knowledge and clinical competence in neurodiagnostic technology (EEG, PSG, and related modalities)
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and accreditation activities
  • Advise and mentor students regarding academic progress, clinical performance, and career development
  • Uphold institutional policies related to equity, access, student success, and professional conduct
Minimum Qualifications
  • A master's degree in the teaching field, or a master's in any teaching field with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field, or
  • A bachelor's degree plus three (3) years’ work experience in field to be taught, or an associate's degree or 64 semester hours and five (5) years’ work experience in the field to be taught, or five years’ work experience in the field to be taught
  • Must show completion of EDU 250 – Teaching and Learning in the Community College or sign up and complete the Springboard to Success training within the first semester post-hire.
Desired Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in the field of END Technology at a college, technical school or other Technologist Training Program
  • Masters degree in R.EEG T. (Registered END Technologist), MPH (Masters in Public Health), MBA (Masters in Business Administration), CNCT (Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist), REPT (Registered Evoke Potential Technologist)
  • At least Five (5) years of documented health care experience in END Technology
  • Experience with online systems, i.e. Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Canvas, etc
  • Clinical instructor/fieldwork or preceptor experience
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Accreditation Council for CAAHEP, AASM and/or Regulatory Hospital Accreditation, accreditation requirements and process related to curriculum

    Teaching experience in the field of END Technology at a college, technical school or other Technologist Training Program
  • One (1) year full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years
Special Working Conditions
  • Will be required to travel or be assigned to all Gate Way locations
  • May require some evenings or weekends
  • May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
  • May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs
  • Will be required to work with EEG equipment
  • MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas
