Exciting Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Opportunity – Anesthesia Ionia, MI

Join our team as a Locum CRNA and make a vital difference in patient care, providing independent anesthesia services in a dynamic hospital setting.

This role offers a rewarding chance to work in a well-equipped environment, supporting a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics, while enjoying a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.

You will deliver anesthesia care for approximately 15 procedures daily, covering general surgical and endoscopy cases, including nerve blocks, regional anesthesia, spinal and epidural techniques, and ventilation management. Working in a Level 4 trauma facility with two operating rooms and one endoscopy room, you will operate primarily during day shifts (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday) with remote supervision from an anesthesiologist, no on-call duties required.

The position is ideal for CRNAs seeking meaningful locum work with scheduling flexibility and professional support.

Required Skills:

Valid CRNA certification and current state licensure

Demonstrated proficiency in general surgical anesthesia, regional blocks, and airway management

Experience working independently with remote supervision

Strong knowledge of anesthesia documentation and EMR systems (EPIC preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to adapt to diverse patient needs across age groups

Nice to Have

Skills:

Pediatric anesthesia experience

Experience with complex nerve blocks and advanced anesthesia procedures

Prior work in trauma or level 4 trauma centers

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or master's degree in nursing with anesthesia specialization

At least 2 years of anesthesia practice, including independent roles

Recent experience in hospital or surgical settings

Other Requirements:

Credentialing process completion within approximately 60 days

Valid certifications including ACLS and BLS

Willingness to travel within the service area; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

Orientation is half the hourly rate; holiday shifts paid at 1.5x hourly rate
