Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for reviewing patient prescriptions for treatment, safely positioning patients using immobilization devices, and administering ionizing radiation as prescribed by the physician. This role entails operating treatment machines, verifying radiation prescriptions, documenting treatment in patient charts, and localizing patient markings daily. The therapist will assist patients in scheduling and coordinating appointments, referring them to social workers or medical staff as necessary, and teaching radiation therapy students.

• Review patient prescriptions and treatment requirements.
• Use immobilization devices and treatment accessories as prescribed.
• Operate linear accelerators and other treatment machines with precision.
• Administer ionizing radiation following physician specifications.
• Assist in coordinating patient appointments and transportation.
• Refer patients to appropriate healthcare professionals as needed.
• Conduct ongoing imaging of patients per policy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy rooms.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance policies.
• Support and mentor radiation therapy students.

• Associate's degree required;
  Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current ARRT(T) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
