Who you are:

Our partner leads the way in working with children who struggle with behavioral, emotional, educational, intellectual, and developmental challenges. We treat the whole child, focusing on multiple family issues so we can provide the best, most comprehensive integrated care. We examine barriers in the home, school, and community, working with the family who raises the child/youth, as well as the community organizations that support them.

Our client's mission is to help children and families shape their own futures. We embrace a set of Core Values as the foundation of our culture. They define how we do, what we do, and what we value in our work with each other and our community. If you are a Master's leveled clinician with a minimum of 1-year working with children, we would love to hear from you.

What you will be doing:

This position will allow for the opportunity to grow and develop skills in individual and family therapy practice, as well as facilitating group therapy during our ongoing social skill group sessions.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Utilize the ICD and/or DSM to diagnose and appropriate assessment tools, such as CAFAS/PECFAS as programmatically indicated.
  • Using a Family Centered Planning model, coordinate and monitor delivery of services and implementation of behaviorally specific treatment goals and objectives for assigned clients including the assessment, treatment, coordination of referrals and additional services with outside providers.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to appropriately deliver services to meet client needs at the agency, by Telehealth, or in the community; and by working evening hours.
  • Maintain clinical records, reports, case notes, and all other client and treatment documentation in the appropriate electronic record systems, meeting all agency, contractual, or billing requirements and deadlines.
  • Monitor overall service plan implementation, making recommendations for services, level of care and discharge as needed.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and follow up with assigned clients and other providers to facilitate treatment.
  • Assist clients with obtaining transportation as needed.
  • Develop Performance Goals and Expectations with immediate supervisor annually.
  • If certified in a clinical model of practice, staff must maintain certification in and participate in all training and program requirements to assure model fidelity for any Evidence Based, Promising and/or Best Practice Models.
  • Always collaborate and maintain professional standards while conducting agency business.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A Master's level degree in a mental health related field such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • A professional license in the state of Michigan.
  • A minimum of 1-year prior experience working with children.

About our client:

Our client is home to many specialized clinical services. We lead the way in working with children who struggle with behavioral, emotional, educational, intellectual, and developmental challenges or may have experienced trauma. We treat the whole child, looking at more than a single issue to provide the best, most comprehensive integrated care. We examine barriers in the home, school, and community, working with the family who raises them and the organizations that support them.

Our vision reflects our community's changing needs for providing care and our evolving position as a leading authority on children's mental and behavioral health:
To champion the never-ending quest for providing the best care, helping children learn to self-advocate once they're outside the comfort of our walls, and get them on the road to a happier, more fulfilling childhood.
