Clinical Counselor - Full Time Days
What You’ll Do- Provide evidence-based group therapy
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments
- Create, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain a clinical caseload
- Participate in treatment team meetings
- Evaluate patient needs

What We’re Looking For- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related therapeutic field
- LLMSW or LMSW
- LLPC or LPC

- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop effective treatment plans that promote patient safety
- Gather information from patient observation, interviews with patients and families to inform treatment planning
- Provide crisis intervention and assist families in understanding implications and complexities of life situations
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss assessments, treatment planning and discharge planning
- Identify, assess and coordinate patient cases and related needs across illness, hospitalization, finances, education and community services
- Facilitate education, process groups, support groups and referrals as requested
- Conduct intakes and assist in coordinating placements within facility programs
- Develop and execute clinically relevant activities in coordination with activity professionals
- Promote recovery, symptom reduction and highest level of social functioning
- Communicate with and support family members
- Manage a caseload and ensure accurate patient chart documentation
- Maintain documentation to meet facility and accreditation standards
- Supervise social work interns as required
- Provide direction and guidance to social services staff as required
- Lead the program/unit and coordinate activities of other clinical or direct patient care staff
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude; address complaints and prioritize patient safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university required
- Three or more years' related experience working with a comparable patient population
- Supervisory experience preferred if the role includes supervising staff
- State licensure as required by the state; LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available on hire and provided by the facility)
- First aid may be required based on state or facility
