New Dawn AFC Home is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to support adult males with developmental disabilities and mental illness in a licensed Adult Foster Care setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, responsible, and committed to providing quality care in a home-like environment.

• Provide direct care and supervision to residents
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, toileting, and meals
• Administer and document medications as trained (MAR/QMAR)
• Follow resident care plans, IPOS, and crisis plans
• Complete required documentation (daily checklists, DWIHN Progress Notes, shift communication, incident reports)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive home environment
• Accompany residents on outings and appointments as scheduled
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Complete required DWIHN and LARA Traing

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a Michigan Driver's License
• High School Diploma or GED or completion of New Dawn Competency Test
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Willingness to complete required trainings (paid training provided)
• Experience in Adult Foster Care, group homes, or healthcare
• Experience supporting individuals with mental health or developmental disabilities
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• 24‑hour residential setting
• Day, afternoon, midnight, weekend, and holiday shifts available
• Full‑time, part‑time, and contingent positions
