Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of trauma level 1 experience, ARRT registration, and BLS certification for a hospital assignment.
Responsibilities- Assignment is in a general radiology department serving inpatients, outpatients, and emergency/operating room patients
- Work with Carestream equipment performing general radiographs, mobile imaging, and occasional intraoperative cross-table portables
- 8-hour shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with every third weekend rotation
- May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital if needed
- Use of Epic Radiant charting system is preferred but not required
- Responsibilities include explaining procedures, collecting patient history, positioning for radiographs, administering IV contrast as appropriate, and ensuring radiation safety practices
- Must complete all required documentation in the medical record and radiology information system
- May be called upon to train or instruct new hires and students
- Teamwork, flexibility, customer service, and respect for diversity are essential qualities
- Online training modules must be completed onsite and passed before starting assignment
- No blocked scheduling is permitted
- Time off requests must be discussed at the time of application; requests after offer require manager approval
- Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen processing
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiographer in a trauma level 1 facility
- Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
- Current ARRT registration or registry eligibility (with registry obtained within 6 months of hire)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must maintain required hours of continuing education
- Physical ability to occasionally lift and/or move equipment or patients exceeding 10 lbs
