Grants Accounting Manager

A great client at UHY is seeking a Grants Accounting Manager
. The ideal candidate will bring strong grant accounting experience, supervisory background, and deep general ledger expertise.

The Grants Accounting Manager role is a hybrid position (onsite Monday–Wednesday, remote Thursday–Friday). This opportunity can begin on a contract or contract-to-hire basis, with the ultimate goal of permanent placement.

• Oversee all grant accounting across multiple program pillars within the organization
• Manage monthly grant billing, quarterly reporting, and year-end reporting deadlines
• Organize and manage CFDA schedules for all federal grants during the single audit process
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grant reporting requirements
• Supervise three Grant Billing Specialists
• Partner with pillar Controllers (dotted-line reporting) while directly reporting to the Controller
• Review and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy of grant-related financial data
• Utilize accounting systems (Dynamics), reporting tools (Power BI), and federal grant systems (PMS, ELO, etc.)
• Provide accounting oversight, double-check work, and strengthen internal processes

• Strong grant accounting experience (federal grants highly preferred)
• Supervisory experience required
• Proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting tools (Dynamics and Power BI preferred)
• Experience with federal grant reporting platforms such as PMS, ELO, or similar systems
• Highly organized, self-starter, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines while maintaining compliance
