Overview

Staff Bright is working with a client to identify a skilled Plant Controller to join their team. In this role, you will serve as the financial leader for the plant, acting as a strategic advisor to management by providing data-driven insights, overseeing plant financial operations, and ensuring optimal cost control and performance transparency.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will serve as the key financial partner to plant leadership, overseeing planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading holistic planning and forecasting in collaboration with plant managers
  • Reporting key financial and operational figures to management and regional controlling
  • Analyzing deviations, identifying corrective measures, and supporting implementation
  • Tracking KPIs and discussing performance with leadership
  • Managing monthly CO closing and analyzing results
  • Preparing management and board-level reports
  • Supporting quarterly and annual financial statements, including inventory valuation
  • Driving improvements in controlling processes and identifying optimization opportunities
  • Conducting ad-hoc analyses and developing business cases for strategic initiatives
  • Presenting financial insights that influence plant and regional decision-making

This role has no direct reports, but you will be the primary finance leader for a plant of 150+ employees.

What Makes You a Strong Fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive or manufacturing finance
  • Strong background in costing and plant manufacturing accounting
  • Ability to operate independently with no support staff
  • Experience partnering with operational leaders and influencing decisions
  • Comfortable working onsite in a clean but active manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to “connect the dots” for leadership
  • SAP experience is highly preferred
  • Up to 8% annual bonus
