In this role, you will work within a collaborative agile environment, using critical thinking to complete assigned audit activities. You should be flexible and adaptable to evolving demands, with a results‑oriented approach and a strong ability to learn.
The work involves partnering with Ally management, conducting individual audits, developing, completing, and documenting audit tests in accordance with Audit Services policies and procedures, and using data literacy and analytics to provide consultation to management about emerging control practices. You will communicate proactively with management and peers to mitigate customer service issues, ask questions, and challenge the status quo. You may perform ad hoc projects to analyze Ally’s risk and control environment and participate in Audit Transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities- Partner with Ally management and work cross-functionally while conducting individual audits.
- Develop, complete, and document audit tests in accordance with Audit Services policies and procedures.
- Use data literacy and analytics to provide consultation to management regarding emerging control practices.
- Communicate proactively with management and peers to drive alignment and mitigate customer service issues.
- Demonstrate inquisitiveness by proactively asking questions and challenging the status quo.
- Leverage technical knowledge and creativity on ad hoc projects to analyze Ally’s risk and control environment.
- Participate in Audit Transformation initiatives to support the function’s contribution to the enterprise.
- 2+ years of work experience in audit; experience within financial services is preferred.
- Relevant bachelor's degree or comparable combination of education and experience (including military service).
- Relevant certification (CIA, CPA, CISA, CAMS, CFE, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience using CAATs such as ACL and Teammate, or equivalent tools, is a plus.
- Desire to creatively identify problems and provide solutions or recommendations.
- Curiosity, passion, and comfort with technology; open to feedback and active listener.
- Analytical mindset with thoughtful approach to work.
