Assistant Plant Controller

This role will oversee daily financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and promote financial transparency across departments. They will manage accounting functions (GL, audits, close), cost accounting, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS, and collaborate with leadership and operations to provide strategic insights, budgeting, and financial analysis.

• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accountability
• Oversee month-end/year-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Maintain GL and enforce internal controls
• Resolve cost/inventory discrepancies; lead cost accounting and variance analysis
• Prepare audit documentation; liaise with external auditors
• Develop budgets and financial models for strategic decisions
• Analyze operational metrics (costs, labor, CAPEX) and recommend improvements
• Support capital budgeting, ROI analysis, and new product/process evaluations
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and audits
• Drive continuous improvement in finance and operations

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
• 3+ years of experience in the accounting/finance field
• Prior manufacturing experience
• GAAP knowledge
• ERP proficiency
• Advanced Excel skills
• CPA/CMA/MBA (preferred)
• 2+ years of leadership experience (preferred)
