Financial Reporting Manager (Hybrid | Metro Detroit)

We are partnering with a well-established, multi-site manufacturing organization in the Metro Detroit area to hire a Financial Reporting Manager
. This is a high-visibility role leading consolidated reporting and serving as a key liaison for external audit. Ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounting, clean processes, and partnering across different business segments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own the consolidated close process and ensure timely, accurate monthly results (accruals, reserves, key reconciliations)
• Lead preparation and review of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting packages, including key statements and disclosures
• Drive compliance with GAAP and internal control requirements; research new guidance and document conclusions/memos as needed
• Oversee complex accounting areas such as debt, pensions, leases (including lease system oversight), goodwill/intangibles, and other technical topics
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate responses across internal stakeholders
• Maintain and evolve corporate accounting policies and procedures for the consolidated entity

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6-10+ yearsof progressive accounting/financial reporting experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience with external reporting and compliance
• Background partnering with external auditors and managing audit requests/timelines
• Public accounting experience is a plus; CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Strong Excel skills (and comfort working in a data-driven reporting environment)
• Manufacturing experience is preferred (automotive exposure is a plus)
