Work Schedule:

Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Regulatory Analyst to join our compliance team. This role will focus on supporting regulatory compliance for garage insurance products and providing expertise in F&I filings and research. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance compliance, regulatory research, and experience with SERFF filings related to automotive insurance and finance products. This person can work a hybrid schedule out of either the Detroit, Schaumburg, or Downers Grove office, but open to fully remote for the right candidate.

Work Itself
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory filings for garage insurance and F&I products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory changes to assess the need for revisions to proprietary products, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
  • Deliver prompt, articulate responses to state insurance department objections, maintaining strong regulatory relationships.
  • Conduct research on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices to support compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (legal, underwriting, product, and sales teams) to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain compliance documentation, policies, and procedures related to garage insurance and F&I filings.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and coordinate responses to regulatory examinations or audits.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on regulatory requirements and compliance processes.
  • Track and report on the status of filings, regulatory developments, and compliance projects.
  • Act as the department's expert on compliance topics and address queries from independent risk management, internal audit, and regulators.
  • Lead efforts to advance the Governance Strategy by establishing robust frameworks that enhance business governance and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with Insurance leadership to support strategic initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence.
Skills Skills You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCU, AICP) preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in insurance compliance, regulatory analysis, or a related field, with a focus on garage insurance and/or F&I products preferred.
  • Solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements for commercial property and casualty insurance products.
  • Experience preparing and submitting insurance filings (e.g., rates, forms, licenses).
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
