The Credit Underwriter Sr.

- Distribution Finance is responsible for analyzing and monitoring credit worthiness of assigned customers/accounts and recommending and/or approving credit within established guidelines. This includes analyzing financial statements and completing ratio and trend analysis of statements to determine if a customer is eligible for financing.

• Underwrite high‑quality credit narratives to support new and existing loans, reviewing and analyzing applications, financial statements, balance sheets, and D&B reports.
• Perform series analysis of business financial statements and tax returns using Moody’s software to assess multi‑year trends and ratios.
• Analyze cash flow from operations, identifying recurring and non‑recurring sources of cash flow.
• Research industry trends and risks.
• Conduct collateral analysis, including accounts receivable, inventory, real estate, and investments.
• Run credit reports and gather/analyze KYC information.
• Analyze personal financial statements and tax returns for individual guarantors, developing global cash flow analysis.
• Collaborate with other areas to monitor delinquency trends and repossession activity.
• Conduct annual financial statement follow‑up with borrowers and track receipt by the bank.
• Prepare written recommendations on loan approval status and alternate loan structure options.
• Present findings to the loan committee, communicate decisions, and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of wholesale/commercial credit underwriting experience with prior credit approval authority.

• Master’s degree.
• Detail‑oriented, able to analyze cash flow, leverage, and customer strength; experience with deal sizes ranging from 2 MM to 10 MM preferred.
• Experience lending to a wide variety of industries, loan types, and company sizes preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound business judgments while protecting the interest of the bank.
• Strong technical skills.

Office – Certain positions may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement combining in‑office and work‑from‑home.

$63,000 – $124,000 annual salary. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, and performance. Eligible for incentive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
