Accounting Supervisor

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for a client located in the greater Detroit area to oversee a team responsible for financial transaction processing, including payment operations and revenue collection. The position ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across various finance-related functions.

• Payment processing and issue resolution
• Vendor billing and invoice management
• Incoming payment applications
• Maintenance of financial master data and system configurations
• Annual reporting and documentation
• Coordination of internal and external audits
• Development and upkeep of internal collaboration platforms
• Tracking and reporting of performance metrics
• Participation in ERP system enhancements and transformation initiatives
• Oversight of outsourced financial service providers, including performance and risk management
• Facilitation of cross‑functional collaboration with departments such as credit, audit, and procurement

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 4 years of experience in a shared services or centralized finance environment
• 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Proficiency with ERP systems
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and internal controls
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and team leadership skills
• Experience managing SharePoint sites
• Exposure to global financial operations
• Familiarity with automated cash application tools
