Due to recent expansion, Akkodis is seeking several motivated Entry‑Level Systems Test Engineers to join our Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HiL) Engineering Lab on our dedicated team for the next several years while supporting a major domestic vehicle manufacturer in the Detroit Metro area. This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to gain hands‑on experience in automotive testing and validation, working with cutting‑edge ADAS, powertrain, and vehicle control systems.

As a HiL System Test Engineer, you will contribute to test setups, system integration, automation, and validation of complex automotive components using industry‑standard tools. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, including software developers, testers, and feature owners, to ensure quality and performance.
Startling Pay Range:
Up to $70,000/yr (salary commensurate based on experience and education levels).

Responsibilities- Assist in setting up and configuring Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HiL) test benches for vehicle system validation.
- Support the design, integration, and troubleshooting of HiL systems, including ADAS, powertrain, and chassis subsystems.
- Conduct system‑level testing, analyzing CAN messages, verifying end‑of‑line functionality, and ensuring seamless software integration.
- Work with automation teams to enhance test efficiency through scripting and test automation.
- Collaborate with feature owners and test engineers to execute test cases, analyze results, and document issues.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support engineering decisions.
- Gain exposure to tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, and HiL simulation platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical ,electronics engineering or mechatronics is required.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, embedded software, and control systems, preferably with supporting internships and/or Co‑op experiences.
- Familiarity with CAN communication protocols and diagnostic tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.) is a plus.
- Exposure to HiL simulations and tools like dSPACE, NI Veri Stand, or Vector tools is beneficial.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, MATLAB, or C++) is a plus.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
