Location:
This person would have the opportunity to sit out of any of our client's office across Michigan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- 4–10+ years of Traffic Engineering experience
- Traffic Signal Design Experience
- Proficiency with Micro Station or AutoCAD
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer with experience in traffic signal design to join our client’s growing transportation team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in traffic operations, intersection and corridor design, and the ability to manage projects and coordinate with clients and agencies. This person will be responsible for traffic signal design plans, including phasing, timing, wiring, detection, and interconnect systems.
They will also prepare traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and support corridor improvement design efforts along with performing traffic operation analyses. This person will conduct safety evaluations, and intersection operational analyses. Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, utility companies, and internal design disciplines. Prepare proposals, cost estimates, scopes, and project schedules as needed.
