Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environmental Professional in one of our offices located in the Midwestern United States, including Michigan (Detroit and Ann Arbor), Wisconsin (Milwaukee or Mequon), Ohio (Cincinnati and Columbus/Worthington), Missouri (St. Louis/Chesterfield). The role involves supporting HSE compliance for projects and operations, and advising project leadership on HSE matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing project-specific HSE plans and documentation.
- Implement HSE programs, procedures, standards, and plans across offices and project sites.
- Review contract specifications and communicate safety requirements to subcontractors.
- Support offices in identifying and mitigating HSE hazards related to in-office activities and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Perform site visits, audits, and provide technical support for HSE compliance.
- Deliver HSE training and raise awareness of safety initiatives and issues.
- Support incident investigations and promote safety and emergency preparedness.
- Support ergonomic risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in professional development activities and support company initiatives.
- Drive company and rental vehicles to various sites as needed.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, science, or related field (required).
- Working towards or possessing CIH or CSP certification (desired).
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of full-time HSE experience or equivalent.
- Experience in hazard identification, law interpretation, safety data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience supporting HSE in construction or environmental consulting (preferred).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record (required).
