3D CAD Designer

Job Description

• This position would be the lead responsible for maintaining the plant layout and carrier designs in 3D.
• Familiarity with Client assembly project standards are required.
• This person should be a self-starter and be capable of making accurate field observations, measurements and converting information supplied from other vendors into the overall composite plant layout.

• Maintain integration of supplier provided 3D drawings and integrate into a plant layout using scanned point cloud data to identify interferences and safety clearance concerns
• Oversee timely and organized submission of all 3D CAD drawings on the ACC provided to Client by suppliers
• Design in 3d carriers and conveyor equipment as required for program review
• This individual will report to the Client Project Manager

• Minimum (10) years of 3D CAD design in automotive manufacturing applications
• Must have an in-depth understanding of all conveyor and automotive product carrier design
• Must demonstrate experience with utilizing 3D point cloud environments in a design workflow.
