Customer Technical Development (CTD) Engineer
Customers’ point of contact as expert for Syensqo high performance polymers (ie Ryton PPS, Amodel PPA, Tecnoflon FKM, etc). Consult on material selection, processing, and design as well as assist customers with current quality issues. In collaboration with the commercial team and business development, you will develop new applications and possibly collaborate with R&D to develop new materials.
Business GroupThis role is for the North American Transportation (Automotive) Business Group.
Ideal Candidate Requirements- Academic degree in engineering, chemistry, or a technical related field.
- Experience in polymer melt processing such as injection molding, extrusion, compression molding and/or numerical simulation tools.
- Experience supporting automotive metal to plastic conversion projects is a plus.
- Technical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Enjoy networking with people.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (or located in Detroit – a big plus).
- U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $94,960- $118,700 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors.
- 16+ weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave.
