Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Detroit Headquarters, working on several high-profile urban land development projects that are contributing to the revitalization of the City of Detroit.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently on various engineering projects, while collaborating in a team environment led by the Partner in charge/Project Manager.
Typical Responsibilities- Geometrics
- Grading
- Pavement design
- Soil erosion and sediment control
- Utility (storm, sanitary and water) design
- Stormwater management and green infrastructure design
- Traffic control plans
- Details
- Record drawings and specifications
- Prepare permit applications and cost estimates
- Attend meetings
- Conduct field visits
- Perform construction administration tasks

RequirementsMinimum qualifications:
- Civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent experience
- At least 1-3 years of Civil Engineering experience
- Experience in AutoCAD software
- Experience in Civil3D
- Experience with road, storm, sanitary and water design
- Experience in Bluebeam
- Exposure to Municipal and/or Private Development projects
