DescriptionMSG is expanding our Transportation Team in Michigan, and we’re looking for a Senior Transportation Engineer & Office Lead to take charge of roadway and utility design projects in a fully 3D digital environment

This position includes supervisory responsibilities, overseeing a team of seven designers in our Detroit office, and offers significant opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation of transportation design plans and 3D models for local agency and municipal utility projects
- Perform and review design calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare design packages for milestone client submittals, including estimates, special provisions, and RID packages
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team
- Support MDOT projects as needed, applying similar expertise and leadership
- Oversee and manage a team of seven designers
, ensuring successful project delivery and professional development
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 1–15 years’ experience working with MDOT transportation and Local Agency projects
- Michigan PE with the ability to become registered in other states
- Knowledge of Open Roads ORD design software;
AutoCAD/Civil3D is a plus - Experience working as a Project Manager (PM)
