Job Description

Green Lancer is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Solar Interconnection Coordinator to play a critical role in establishing and supporting the interconnection services department. This position will assist in developing processes, ensuring compliance with utility requirements, and facilitating the interconnection of residential and commercial solar projects. As part of the team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the early stages of a growing department within our organization and gain valuable experience in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities
  • Interconnection Support:
    Assist in preparing, submitting, and tracking interconnection applications for solar projects, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Maintain detailed and organized records related to interconnection approvals, including contracts, permits, and regulatory forms, ensuring adherence to industry and utility standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Collaborate with utility companies, internal teams, and clients to address inquiries and facilitate the resolution of issues during the interconnection process.
  • Department Development:
    Contribute to the establishment of efficient interconnection workflows and standard operating procedures, including identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions to streamline processes.
  • Technical

    Collaboration:

    Partner with design and operations teams to ensure all technical documentation meets utility requirements and project specifications.
  • Reporting:
    Regularly monitor and report on the status of interconnection applications, providing updates to internal teams and leadership.
  • Learning & Development:
    Stay informed about changes in interconnection standards, utility policies, and industry best practices, with support and mentorship to help you grow in the role.
  • Database Development:
    Compile a comprehensive database of utility interconnection requirements, processes, procedures, and key contacts using past and current project applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with solar PV systems or utility interconnection processes.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Willingness to learn and interpret technical drawings and electrical single‑line diagrams.
  • Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to staying updated on industry standards.
