Client Service Leader - Water Services
Join CDM Smith to expand water, wastewater, and environmental services across southeastern Michigan. We deliver some of the largest water and wastewater projects for major state clients and seek a leader to grow our business with local and national project managers, technical experts, and marketing professionals.
Responsibilities- Develop new business and maintain high‑value relationships with water, wastewater, and environmental clients in Michigan.
- Create client engagement strategies and pursuit plans for multiple clients.
- Coordinate with senior regional and national leadership to identify opportunities to expand delivery of strategic service offerings, including planning, construction, implementation, and alternative delivery.
- Develop and manage proposal efforts, business strategies, and presentations, and lead contract negotiations.
- Work effectively with project managers, technical specialists, and delivery teams as a leader in quality project delivery.
- Lead select projects within technical expertise.
- Be active in professional societies.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 15 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required; the frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties and essential functions.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Previous experience winning and managing projects in the Michigan municipal water market.
- Strong client relationships with water clients in the Michigan market.
- 15+ years of experience with municipal water and wastewater projects in the Michigan market.
