Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach

Old Redford Academy is hiring an Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach for the Fall 2026 season!

The academy is a tuition free, Pre-K to 12th grade academy that offers highly qualified teachers, free transportation, one-to-one student technology, an expansive athletic program, and a rigorous curriculum.

• Collaborate with the head varsity coach to create and implement effective practice plans and game strategies.
• Provide individualized instruction and feedback to athletes to help improve their skills and techniques.
• Assist in organizing and conducting practice sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all players.
• Travel with the team to games and tournaments, providing support and motivation for players.
• Help in maintaining equipment and inventory, ensuring readiness for practices and games.
• Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and the overall well-being of student-athletes.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining attendance records and coordinating with school staff and parents.

• Previous experience coaching volleyball at the high school level or higher is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
