Assistant Professor Clinical Scholar - Department of Oncology. Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor Clinical Scholar - Department of Oncology at its Detroit campus location.

Responsibilities- Position is clinical scholar track, non-tenured.
- Conduct independent research in line with the goals of the Department of Oncology including maintaining a strong record of accomplishments and the ability to secure external funding that will provide salary support as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator and support research efforts and projects.
- Publish in peer-reviewed literature as first or co-author.
- Participate in service assignments of importance to the program, the Department of Oncology, Karmanos Cancer Institute, the School of Medicine, and the University.
- Valid Michigan medical license for MD’s.
- Rank commensurate with credentials.
- Board certified/board eligible.
- Doctoral degree required.
- Post-graduate training required.
- When applicable, board certification and ability to obtain a Michigan medical license.
- Evidence of scholarly productivity (i.e., external grant support and scholarly publications).
- Ability to provide quality instruction to a variety of students.
