Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor - Tenure/Tenure-Track - College of Nursing at its Detroit campus location.

Essential Functions (Job Duties)- Establish an independent program of research aligned with the college's strategic priorities.
- Develop and submit competitive grant proposals as PI or co-investigator to federal, state, or foundation funding agencies.
- Publish in reputable, nationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals.
- Prepare, teach, and evaluate assigned courses.
- Use teaching strategies appropriate to learning objectives and students' needs.
- Participate in College and University committees.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- PhD in Nursing required.
- Previous teaching experience at baccalaureate or higher degree level.
- External and/or intramural grant activity.
- A clear trajectory toward independent funding (e.g., next study and potential funding mechanism).
