Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor - Tenure/Tenure-Track - College of Nursing at its Detroit campus location.

• Establish an independent program of research aligned with the college's strategic priorities.
• Develop and submit competitive grant proposals as PI or co-investigator to federal, state, or foundation funding agencies.
• Publish in reputable, nationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals.
• Prepare, teach, and evaluate assigned courses.
• Use teaching strategies appropriate to learning objectives and students' needs.
• Participate in College and University committees.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• PhD in Nursing required.
• Previous teaching experience at baccalaureate or higher degree level.
• External and/or intramural grant activity.
• A clear trajectory toward independent funding (e.g., next study and potential funding mechanism).
