We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan starting Mar 1, 2026. This opportunity features a variety of shift options, including day, evening, and overnight hours, and offers hands‑on experience with a wide range of emergency department procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
  • Perform adult and pediatric outpatient assessments
  • Newborn resuscitation
  • Treat orthopedic non-displaced fractures
  • Suturing of minor lacerations and performing incision and drainage
  • Address uncomplicated psychiatric cases across all age groups
  • Diagnose and manage common industrial‑related medical problems
  • Manage ventilation, including establishing and maintaining airways and using various ventilation modes for up to 24 hours without pulmonary consultation
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
  • Perform central line and arterial line placements
  • Interpret EKGs
  • Conduct arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis
  • Execute additional emergency medicine related procedures

Additional Information

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine required
  • Michigan medical license required at time of credentialing; IMLC not accepted
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required; ATLS required for ABEM/ABOEM providers, both ATLS and ACLS required for FM/IM
  • Candidates must be local with a clean background for expedited credentialing
  • Recent (within 30 days) NPDB self‑query required at presentation
