Position Overview
The Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSU SOM) Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Geriatrics invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor faculty member on the clinical-educator track. The role involves collaborative work with Wayne Health (WH) and WSU SOM, including patient care on the general medicine inpatient service, geriatrics consult service, outpatient clinics, and nursing homes, as well as teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Research opportunities are available through the Department of Internal Medicine.
- Participate in clinical activities of the division, including rounding on inpatient services and staffing clinics.
- Teach medical students, residents, and geriatrics fellows.
- Engage in research activities within the Department of Internal Medicine.
- Contribute to a collaborative program between WH and WSU SOM.
- Licensed to practice in Michigan as an MD or DO.
- Board certified or eligible in Geriatrics (American Board of Internal Medicine).
- Experience in geriatrics practice and education.
