Henry Ford Hospital, located in Detroit, Michigan, one of the world's most distinguished academic medical centers, is seeking a full time Cardiology Critical Care Physician.
The Henry Ford Medical Group Division of Cardiovascular Disease consists of over 60 faculty and 36 fellows at five (5) sites throughout southeast Michigan. The Division offers the full spectrum of advanced tertiary and qua ternary care services for the most complex cardiovascular disease.
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks a highly skilled Critical Care Cardiologist (Board Certified/Board Eligible in both) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide advanced care to critically ill patients with primary complex cardiovascular conditions, collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of treatment protocols in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The candidate must also be committed to our mission of research and education.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert care to critically ill patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases, including heart failure, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and cardiogenic shock.
- Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and management, including mechanical circulatory support (e.g., ECMO, LVAD, Impella, IABP).
- Lead educational rounds with a team of APPs, residents and fellows.
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures relevant to the critical care setting including central line placement, arterial catheterization, temporary pacing, thoracentesis, intubation.
