Construction Control Representative—U.S. Army Corps of Engineers—Engineering & Construction Division, Detroit DistrictThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the PositionServe as a Construction Control Representative responsible for an assigned function of surveillance of contract construction operations.

Location2 vacancies in the following location:
Warren, MI
- Make controlling interpretations of the intent of plans and specifications.
- Responsible for surveillance, controlling, and monitoring the construction program for major military projects.
- Review and analyze plans and specifications to gain familiarity with the project to ensure the feasibility of the construction aspects prior to start of work.
- Monitor the provisions of the contractor safety program for compliance.
- Assist in negotiating field changes.
- Confer with contractor's staff to settle disputes and disagreements on-site.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;
if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service which includes Overseeing, managing, and inspecting construction work.
