Overview
We are a rapidly growing commercial construction firm seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to build and lead our Detroit pre-construction team. This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional who thrives in planning, budgeting, and early-stage project execution while developing high-performing teams.
What You’ll Do- Lead all pre-construction efforts including budgeting, estimating, and preliminary scheduling
- Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing pre-construction team
- Partner with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop competitive proposals
- Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering
- Oversee pre-construction documentation and ensure alignment with company standards
- Support project teams with constructability reviews and cost guidance
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction pre-construction or estimating
- Proven leadership experience building and developing teams
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, estimating, and scheduling
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
