Estimator; General Contractor

Base pay range

$100,000 – $150,000 per year

A General Contractor headquartered in the Detroit suburbs, 100% employee‑owned, focusing on a wide range of commercial and industrial projects.

Lead Estimator required to create accurate and competitive cost estimates for preconstruction of commercial and industrial projects, collaborating closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors.

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Participate in bid strategy meetings and project handoffs.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to execution.

• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
