We’re representing one of the largest and most successful heavy civil contractors in Detroit as they begin looking for a Senior Project Manager who will play a critical role in key projects in 2026.

They deliver MDOT, municipal, and private sitework projects, including earthwork, underground utilities, and road/site development, with projects typically ranging from $1M–$100M.
The OpportunityAs a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing projects from bid through closeout — while helping price and plan future work. You’ll work directly with ownership and leadership to manage schedules, budgets, and client relationships, while supporting estimating efforts on upcoming bids and negotiated work.

What You’ll Do- Estimate and manage a mix of sitework, earthwork, underground utility, and MDOT/municipal projects
- Develop budgets, schedules, and proposals from concept through completion
- Lead preconstruction coordination, subcontractor buyout, and project kickoff meetings
- Oversee field operations, safety, and quality alongside superintendents
- Collaborate directly with ownership on long-term project planning and bid strategy
- 5–10+ years of experience in civil construction (sitework, utilities, MDOT, or municipal projects)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in the $1M–$100M range
- Estimating experience using HCSS Heavy Bid / Heavy Job or similar platforms
- Strong communication and leadership skills
