We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Director of Food Sales Service in our Sales Department at our Detroit office

What You'll Do
  • Partner directly with the SVP, North American Sales & Strategic Growth to design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and strengthens market presence.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth, profitability, and long-term partnerships within the Food Service channel.
  • Lead the forecasting and development of account budgets with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to ensure accuracy, accountability, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Provide monthly business performance reviews and strategic updates to the SVP, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure sales initiatives and decisions deliver both top-line growth and bottom-line profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the Food Service Sales team to achieve and exceed goals while fostering a culture that reflects the integrity, innovation, and values of the Nature Fresh brand.
  • Establish, communicate, and monitor clear KPIs for Key Account Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals and channel priorities.
  • Provide continuous coaching, professional development, and succession planning to strengthen individual and team capability.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding of top sales talent, including identifying staffing needs, interviewing, training, and developing new hires.
  • Promote a collaborative and transparent work environment that emphasizes accountability, respect, and performance excellence.
  • Consult Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with the Procurement team to align supply availability with market and customer demand, proactively managing surpluses and shortfalls.
  • Ensure Key Account Managers are informed of real-time supply positions and equipped to manage inventories effectively to maximize sell-through.
  • Conduct regular internal account reviews with Key Account Managers to assess performance, strengthen relationships, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment in all business dealings.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Procurement, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless execution and communication.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership under changing business conditions, maintaining agility and strategic focus.

What You Bring
  • Proven track record of success as a senior sales leader, consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious revenue and growth targets.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related discipline; advanced education or professional certifications considered an asset.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build credibility at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
