Position: Clinton County Support / Clerical Aide

Position Summary (Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or on‑call position that provides clerical support. Responsibilities may include secretarial, receptionist, bookkeeping, information processing or related clerical tasks. Temps on‑campus: includes the College of Human Medicine and the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Detroit Medical Center and the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Macomb University Center. On‑campus temps can work six (6) months then terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on‑call schedule.

Off‑campus temps can continuously work a nine (9) month appointment with a one (1) week break in between. On‑call is allowed to work up to 40 hours per week for three (3) months, after which the employee must be moved down to 19 hours per week and cannot work more than 520 hours in any six (6) month period.

Position Summary

Provides secretarial support for Clinton County MSUE staff, the District 8 Director, clientele, and others as needed. Assists in the administrative and functional aspects of a departmental office. Compiles information in order to produce departmental reports. This position will be the “face” of MSU Extension (MSUE) in Clinton County in a way that allows clientele and potential clientele to quickly and easily access Extension system information;

direct clientele to appropriate information and resources (e.g., Educators, Faculty, MSUE Bookstore, websites); assist with the logistics and promotion of MSUE educational events in the county; support MSUE staff in a manner consistent with delivery of Extension programs.
