Temp Property Accountant

A great UHY client is seeking a TEMP Property Accountant to support their accounting team during a peak audit period. The organization is a Detroit-based nonprofit focused on affordable housing and community services. This engagement is expected to last approximately two months
, with the potential for extension.

The TEMP Property Accountant role is a hybrid position, with 3 days each week being onsite. This is a contract position.

• Prepare and assist with fixed asset, prepaid, and accrual schedules
• Work extensively in Excel workbooks and audit support schedules
• Provide hands-on support to the accounting team during a high-volume, fast-paced period

• Staff- or Senior-level accounting experience
• Strong real estate / property accounting background (required)
• Experience with affordable housing limited partnerships is a plus
• Comfortable working in an evolving environment with limited processes and controls
• Adaptable, collaborative, and willing to jump in where support is needed
