Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Location: Onsite | Full-Time

Pay: $100,000 per year

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and perform daily accounting operations. This role is designed for someone with strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience in AR, AP, and financial management.

• Manage and record daily banking activity
• Analyze and reconcile A/R, A/P, and General ledger transactions
• Pay vendors via checks or ACH as needed
• Review A/R aging and conduct credit collections
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards statements
• Prepare month-end closings, financial statements, and margin analysis
• Communicate directly with owners regarding budgeting and financial stability
• File monthly sales tax through Avalara and State of Michigan
• Perform Human Resources tasks including employee relations, benefits, employee onboarding, payroll compliance and performance.
• Communicate directly with accountant to ensure monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax documents are accurate and filed correctly.
• Review and renew General liability, workmen’s compensation, auto and medical insurance policies
• Manage office staff and delegate duties as necessary

• College degree in accounting or related field required
• Strong analytical and computer skills required
• Proven ability to perform accounting functions including the ability to analyze general ledger entries, monthly closings and financial statements.
• Experience in wholesale or distribution accounting a plus
• Ability to adapt and multitask as required

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Health insurance (after 90 days, 70/30 split, up to $750/month)
