Staff auditor, Auditor Accountant

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Staff Auditor to fill an opening with a large, reputable, and well-established employer of choice based in Detroit, Michigan.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1+ year of Audit or Public Accounting experience
• Strong project management and analytical skills
• Proficiency with risk and control concepts
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Executes quality assurance and horizontal reviews of completed audit projects.
• Executes and reports on post audit quality checks.
• Provides effective challenge to the audit teams regarding the audit approach, audit documentation, and conclusions drawn.
• Identifies the root causes of quality issues and articulates their relevance.
• Participates as a team member on various process improvement projects designed to meet departmental needs
